About the Louis Chair

The Louis chair carries the oval back, turned legs and restrained carving of French Louis XVI furniture — the style that has furnished château weddings and fine dining rooms for two centuries. It is the most formal chair in our range, and the one clients specify when the brief says elegant rather than rustic.

Two back constructions are available. The rattan weave is breathable and light, with the woven texture that reads as authentic period detail. The soft back is upholstered in fabric or PU over padding, for rooms where guests will be seated for a long service and comfort outranks the period look.

Frames come in natural, chestnut and walnut tones, and the seat is padded as standard. Six standard combinations cover most interior palettes; custom fabric and frame matching is available for volume programmes.
